The 75th Himachal Day was celebrated throughout the state on Friday with great enthusiasm.

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur unfurled the National Flag in the state level Himachal day function at Chamba and took salute from the marching contingents of Police, Home Guards, NCC and NSS students. SDPO Salooni Mayank Chaudhary commanded the parade.

On this occasion the message of Prime Minister Narender Modi was also telecast in which the PM lauded the development journey of the state.

He said, “ Despite geographical and other constraints of the hilly region the state has made commendable progress in the field of power generation, tourism, allied sports and  especially the efforts made by CM Jai Ram Thakur in strengthening the road network.”

The PM said , “ The double engine government in Himachal has opened new vistas of tourism and implemented the central government schemes very efficiently ; the honest leadership and hardworking people of the state has taken the state to new heights of development,” he added.

Greeting people of Himachal on this occasion Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur paid tributes to the first CM of the state Dr YS Pramar, all former CMs, our martyrs and freedom fighters due to whose sacrifices the state could achieve the present status.

 He also remembered the contribution of former PM AB Vajpayee in granting industrial packages, starting work on Atal Tunnel and launching various other development schemes in the state.

He also thanked the PM Narender Modi for his message on the Himachal day for his continuous support and encouragement to people of the state.

The CM announced to give fifty percent concession to women passengers’ in HRTC buses , zero charge to consumers using 125 units electricity from July 1, free drinking water for consumers in rural areas,  Rs five crore for widening Holi- Tarala road and a plan to  beautify  Chamba town .

He also talked about other welfare schemes and development projects undertaken in the state during his tenure.

Chief Minister also presented Civil Services Award to District Administration Kullu (Deputy Commissioner Ashutosh Garg) for starting online library facility during COVID pandemic,  MD of National Health Mission Hem Raj Bairwa and DC Kullu Abid Husain for work in COVID vaccination, besides giving other awards.

Speaker of Vidhan Sabha Vipin Pramar, MP Kishan Kapoor, several MLAs and dignitaries were present on this occasion.  A cultural programme was also presented on this occasion.

  2. Aam admi party’s fear has made him announce such kind of concessions
    how can now criticise Kejariwal for giving such incentives for free.
