Former Cabinet Minister and senior Congress leader Kaul Singh Thakur has demanded restoration of the old pension system for HP government employees’.
Talking to media persons at Mandi on Friday he said, “The state government should restore the old pension system for the government employees or pension given to MLAs and MPs should also be stopped; after coming to power in the state the Congress would restore old pension system for the employees appointed after 2004”, he added.
He said, “The Congress party would also give compensation to evacuees whose lands have been acquired for four lane projects by applying Factor 2.”
Attacking the Jai Ram government, the Congress leader said, “ The four year tenure of the government has been dismal as it has failed to check illegal sale of spurious liquor, stop illicit mining , check cement prices, failed to settle various demands of the employees and maintain law and order in the state.”
