Himachal Pradesh government has issued a notification to pay a COVID incentive of Rs 1500 to ASHA workers of the state as per announcement made by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Saizal said, “More than 7500 ASHA workers of the state are playing a significant role in creating health awareness and taking various health schemes and programmes to people, besides working hard during COVID pandemic.”
He said, “ The Centre government has given in principle approval to appoint more ASHA facilitators for which the state government is framing policy and the government is also committed to consider their other demands sympathetically like paying them travelling allowance, hiking incentives and bringing them under EPF scheme .”
