Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has decided to give revised pay scales to nearly two lakhs employees of the state government from January 1st putting a financial burden of about Rs 4000 crores on the state exchequer. The state government has already given interim relief of about Rs. 5000 crore to the employees as part of the arrears.

The Cabinet meeting presided over by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur held at Shimla on Monday gave its nod to promulgate Himachal Pradesh Swarn Jayanti (Legacy Cases Resolution) Scheme, 2021 for settlement of arrears of tax, fee, interest, penalty etc pending for recovery in the appellate forums helping in redressal of over 1.68 cases .

The Cabinet decided to upgrade Ayurvedic Health Centre at Bassi to a Hospital, create patwar circle Tharu in Nagrota area, create new sub-division at Kupvi and fill up three posts of Food inspectors.   

The Cabinet gave its consent to rename Government Senior Secondary School, Halahn in Shillai Vidhan Sabha area of Sirmaur district as Shaheed Kalyan Singh Government Senior Secondary School.

It accorded its approval to start science classes in Government Senior Secondary Schools, Mahog in Karsog area, Kamad in Mandi district and Gushaini in Banjar area of Kullu district and commerce classes in Government Senior Secondary School, Bathalang in Arki area of Solan district. 

The Cabinet decided to start science classes in Government Senior Secondary Schools, Sianji, Baggi, Nagwain, Seri Kothi and Talyar in Mandi district.

It also decided to upgrade Government Primary Schools, Manjhas in Sundernagar, Kau in Seraj-II, Jamho Jallon, Timbru and Nalani in Sundernagar and Mashog in Karsog area of Mandi district to Middle Schools.

The Cabinet gave its consent to open Health Sub Centers at Jaral in Gram Panchayat Jaral, Bahi Sarahi in Gram Panchayat Bahi Sarahi and at Kufaridhar in Gram Panchayat Kufaridhar in Mandi district.

It also decided to open a Primary Health Centre at Jagat in Chamba district and upgrade HSC Kanair in Solan to PHC.  

The Cabinet decided to open health sub centers at Majhalihar in Gram Panchayatn Raisen and at Dohlunala in Gram Panchayat Devghar of Kullu district. 

It gave its consent to fill up five posts of Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services through Himachal Pradesh Joint Competitive Examinations-2021 on regular basis.

It also gave its nod to issue Letter of Intent in favour of M/s Mayur Industries Village Neri in Sundernagar tehsil of Mandi district for setting up of fruit based wine and cider factory. 

The Cabinet gave its consent of draft of ‘Swarn Jayanti Gram Swarojgar (Parivahan) Yojna to allow unemployed youth to ply 18 seater vehicles on concessional tax rates.

It decided to upgrade Sub Tehsil Holi to Tehsil in Chamba district, open new Sub Tehsil at Dhalwan under Baldwara tehsil of Mandi district along with creation of 12 posts.

The Cabinet gave its consent to create six new patwar circles in Manali tehsil of Kullu district by reorganising the existing patwar circles.

It also gave its nod to transfer 0-76-79 hectares of land at Mohal and Mauza Palauhra in Jawali tehsil of Kangra district in favour of Ministry of Defence Government of India for construction of ECHS Polyclinic at free of cost by charging Rs.1 as token value of land.

It also gave approval for establishing Drone Flying Training School at Government ITI Shahpur in Kangra district and authorised the Department of Technical Education to finalise the terms of engagement with Indira Gandhi Rashtrtiya Uran Akademi for signing the MoU.

It also decided to allow purchase of 16 new vehicles for the fire department including six water tenders , four Bousers , four combined foam , CO2 Tenders and two advance water Tenders.

The Cabinet decided to upgrade Government High Schools, Durah and Kushwa in Ani Vidhan Sabha area of Kullu district to Senior Secondary Schools along with creation of requisite posts.

It also decided to upgrade Government Primary Schools Nikanh in Bharmour area and Kurthala in Chamba area of Chamba district to Government Middle Schools along with creation of requisite posts.

The Cabinet gave its consent to open new Primary Schools at village Gudana, Sunyadi and Shaliyan in Shillai Vidhan Sabha area of Sirmaur district along with creation of requisite posts. 

It also decided to upgrade PHC Loharghat in Solan district, PHC Gaggal Shikor, PHC Panog, Jarwa , and Chandni in Sirmour district to CHCs along with new posts.

It gave its nod to set up a separate kidney/renal transplantation cell at Surgery department of DRPMC Tanda along with creation of posts, fill up posts in Trauma Center at SLBSMC Nerchowk.
