( Protest on The Mall Road on Monday)

Hundreds of activists of Himachal Kissan Sabha, CITU, SFI, DYFI, Janwadi Mahila Samiti and Dalit Shoshan Mukti Manch held a demonstration on prohibited area in front of police reporting room on The Mall Road Shimla to protest killings of farmers at Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh.

The activists marched on The Mall Road raising slogans against the Central and UP government to protest the killing of four farmers Lovepreet Singh, Nachhatar Singh, Daljit Singh and Gurvinder Singh allegedly run over by a vehicle of the son of a minister.

President and Secretary of the Kissan Sabha Kuldeep Tanwar and Onkar Shad said, “The protest was held on the call of Samyukta Kissan Morcha to protest the killings and express solidarity with agitating farmers demanding repeal of three farm laws enacted by the Central government.”

The Kisan Sabha leaders have urged the President of India to ensure all state governments function as per the proviso of Constitution of India and take serious note of statement made by Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar inciting party activists to attack the farmers.

The protesters demanded, “Immediate dismissal of Harayana government headed by Khattar and union Minister of state for Home Ajay Mishra, registration of murder case under section 302 of IPC against Ashish Mishra son of Union Minister of state for Home, constitution of a SIT under the supervision of the Supreme Court of India and repeal of three farm laws”.
