Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has decided to allow opening of schools for 10th to 12th classes from August 2nd, open residential and partially residential schools by following SOPs for these classes and allow students from class fifth to eighth to visit schools for doubt clearance.

This decision was taken in a Cabinet meeting held at Shimla on Thursday chaired by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.

It decided to allow research scholars to carry their work in universities as per dates announced by respective universities and allow opening of coaching, tuition and training institutes from July 26.

The Cabinet also decided to open three Sub Divisional Offices (Civil) at Nirmand, Jubbal and Kotkhai, open Development Blocks at Tirlodhar and Ponta Sahib in Simour, Development  Block Dhanotu at Shegali in Mandi district, create new Tehsils at Kalbog and open fire post at Tikkar.

 The Cabinet approved to fill up 100 posts of Junior Office Assistant (IT) in H.P. Secretariat through direct recruitment, fill up three additional posts at CHC Garhjamula, three posts of drivers in the IPR department and five posts of chowkidar in Food and Civil Supplies department.

The Cabinet also gave its nod to issue Letter of Intent for setting up of 250 KL per day Ethanol Plant at Sansarpur Terrace in Kangra district in favour of M/s Premier Alcobev Private Limited. 

It decided to purchase a CT scan -128 slice machine with Rs. 4.28 crore for Hamirpur Medical College.

The Cabinet gave its consent to convert the Industrial Training Institute for women, Bharari in Bilaspur district to co- educational institute and rename Government Senior Secondary School Hatwar after Shaheed Subedar Sanjeev Kumar.
