Himachal Pradesh State Election Commissioner PK Mitra has announced election schedule to hold elections for Municipal Councils (MCs) and Nagar Panchayats of the state which would be held on January 10, 2020.
All elections would be held simultaneously except the newly created nagar panchayats of Amb, Chirgaoan, Kandaghat, Nerwa, Nirmand and Ani.
The nomination papers for these elections would be filed on 24th, 26th and 28th December 2020, which would be scrutinized on December 29 and nominations papers can be withdrawn till December 31st.
The polling for the elections would be held on January 10 from 8 am to 4 pm and counting of votes would begin immediately after the polling is over. The entire process of election would be completed by January 12, 2020.
