Telling about the surgery Dr Chauhan said, “Such conditions develop in a person having mental illness as the person does not know what he is eating and no normal person can swallow such articles; which gets accumulated in the stomach and are only diagnosed during some health problem.
Though it is beyond the comprehension of a common man as  how could a person swallow such sharp edged articles without damaging his food pipe , stomach and other parts but medical expert tells “, “ If a person swallows any sharp edged article with wooden or plastic handle vertically it won’t’ damage or rupture esophagus but if enters wind pipe then it could be fatal .”
“ Such objects automatically comes out with stool as in case of little children who eat many objects but if they are wide like coin etc then they have to be removed by surgery”, they tell .
“ In this case since the patient was mentally ill for long he must have been swallowing these articles for several years which remained  lying vertically and were observed when a knife pierced through his stomach “, he added.
Explaining this further they tell, “ Any vertical object would come out through stool but if the object is wide then it would damage the system and bleeding would have started”.
” In this case the patient, a dweller was being treated for his mental condition for about last twenty years “. He added.
